Friday 5th April, 7:30PM - 90 mins + interval Tealby VillageHall   Suitable for Adults/Older Children (14+) Ticket prices £12.50 Standard / £7.50 Under 16 Buy tickets at Tealby Shop or online at www.thisistealby.com/online-store   A fantastic one-woman show with original songs, topical stories and Jewish humour; a comedy-cabaret with theatre, storytelling and audience engagement at its centre.   Naomi Paul uses her Jewish background to take you on a surreal journey: from Birmingham to the Balkans via lingerie shops and libraries. Sometimes poignant, always funny and ultimately uplifting, this show explores everything from the personal to the political. Of course, it also includes a 'biscuit' break!   You can also expect five original songs varying between folk, klezmer, tango and blues, performed against original backing tracks, all recorded live.   The show is written and performed by Naomi Paul, directed by Alison Belbin, and based on an original direction by Peta Lily.   'Wowed the audience with her own brand of deadpan Jewish humour.' Jewish Telegraph ★★★★ 'A fine comic celebration of modern Britain.' British Theatre Guide

These multi-award-winning masters of jazz cover a vast repertoire from Louis Armstrong to Chick Corea and play with an empathy that can only be drawn from experience. This is a partnership of virtuoso reed player Barnes, playing all the saxes, clarinet and bass clarinet, and one of the greatest solo jazz pianists this country has ever produced, David Newton. They have developed an empathy and telepathic sympathy which only playing together for many years can bring. The emphasis, as always, is on swinging, accessibility and interplay. Expect a hugely entertaining programme of straight-ahead jazz flawlessly played and interspersed with lots of anecdotes and peppered with humour. 'Barnes, plays music that was radical 50 years ago . . . but he infuses it with so much passion and energy you could believe it was minted on the spot.' John L. Walters, The Guardian. 'This is assured, beautifully played jazz' Peter Marsh, BBC Music Review 'A great night of music from world class jazz musicians.Alan Barnes and Dave Newton in my village hall. Bliss.' TEALBY BELLS. This coming Saturday, 23rd September. Tealby All Saints Church will be hosting a bellringing competition, (along with Middle Rasen). Five teams of six ringers from all over Lincolnshire, (the pre 1974 Lincolnshire!), will each be ringing a 'test piece' for 15mins or so. A judge awards minus points for poor striking and the team with the least minus marks wins. This is the first time in several years this event has taken place in Tealby. The event starts at 4pm.

Outdoor theatre by The Duke's Theatre Company comes to Tealby again! Tickets available at www.thedukestheatrecompany.co.uk Whether you’re an audience member in 2023 or back in 1602, you could be forgiven for thinking that Twelfth Night was going to be the darkest of tragedies: what could be more nightmarish than to lose your twin sibling in a furious storm at sea and to think they'd died? In fact, a romantic comedy unfolds with a madcap farce at its heart. The broadest of broad humour (poor Malvolio tricked into absurdity) mixes with moments of unbearable pathos (listen out for Sir Anthony Aguecheek's wistful "I was adored once too".). "Why 1602? That's when Twelfth Night was first performed. Four hundred and twenty-one years on, we're proud and privileged to bring this extraordinary play to you." We don't want to give any more away, even though we're so excited to be presenting our new outdoor production of Twelfth Night that we want to tell you everything. We won't though: suffice to say it all works out in the end, in a way that only Shakespeare would carry off. What can you expect from a Duke's Theatre Company performance? The full text in all its glory; innovative production design to support the unparalleled energy of our wonderful cast; original music so that Shakespeare's songs are heard in a whole new way - and all we ask is that you come prepared for a wonderful time.

What is that wonderfully stinky smell wafting through the trees? The Nosy Little Troll sets off to follow her nose on a quest to solve the mysterious pong. Will she be brave enough to cross the scary old stone bridge and succeed in sniffing out the culprit? A warm-hearted funny Scandinavian story, starring a tasty brown cheese song, a lost goat and a bushy old troll with green fingers. Garlic Theatre hold their young audience spellbound with wonderfully crafted troll puppets, live music and lots of joining in.
