Tealby Village Hall is available to hire for all sorts of events from weddings to christenings and from parties to plays. The villagers are very proud of our hall and if you need to hire a hall that is a piece of history then we recommend you come and have a look.

It has a well-equipped kitchen, a small bar-like area, disabled toilets and has a maximum capacity of 80 seated and 100 standing. A great party venue. There's wheelchair access around the back of the building which is found via the leveled paving at the front of the hall on the left of the main steps, and then a level pathway goes along the side of the hall around to the back. No steps are encountered at all.

Tealby’s wonderful village hall was gifted to the village by the Tennyson D’Eyncourt family as a memorial to their sons who gave their lives during WW1.

 

At nearly 90 years old, it is one of the best-kept halls of its age in the area, thanks in part to the tireless work of its committee, and it is at the heart of many village events.

TEALBY VILLAGE GREEN

Adjacent to the Village Hall and Village Shop is Tealby’s lovely Village Green. With it’s rolling grassy field and well maintained modern play equipment, it’s a super spot for families to come and enjoy the sunshine.

 

Since last year we have increased the grass cutting to provide the sort of quality that ball games can be played on and who knows, maybe a village cricket team will emerge?

Hiring anchor

HIRING INFORMATION

Below is a list of hire charges for residents of Tealby and for non-residents. Daytime hire is up until 6pm and evenings are 6pm onwards. You can hire the hall by the hour but if you have an event going from morning until night, you may find it cheaper to hire the hall for 'all day' and then add the evening hours on top.

It might be useful for you to check the availability of the Village Hall first by viewing its booking calendar.
