Film Night - ‘The Choral’
The Choral (2025) is a British wartime drama directed by Nicholas Hytner and written by Alan Bennett, set in 1916 Yorkshire. It follows an unconventional local choir, led by strict chorus master Dr. Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes), which recruits teenagers to perform, providing catharsis and community during World War. The film follows the members of the local choral society which recruits a disparate group of townspeople for a performance of Edward Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius, a


International Dawn Chorus Day Walk
Location: Tealby Village Green Time: 05:00 About the event: International Dawn Chorus Day on Sunday 3rd May 2026 is a global event, a celebration of the world's wonderful wildlife and an immersion in the joys of birdsong. Set your alarms early to join us on Tealby village green (behind the Community Shop car park) for a gentle amble through the short woodland trail and meadow walk. Tealby Art Group
If you enjoy painting and drawing in any medium, come along to a meeting in the Village Hall on Thursday the 29th of January to discuss the formation of a Tealby art group and what you would like to get out of it. We will meet from 10.00am until 12.00am with tea and coffee provided. Bring along your chosen artists materials/ photographs to produce some artwork based on the theme "Something New".
