On Saturday, 25 June, 10pm, fireworks were set off just a few yards from my house, making me (and my 2 poor traumatised cats) jump out of our skins. It initially sounded like an explosion! I was NEVER informed by either the party givers or the owner of the field who gave permission for firework display on their land. A subsequent attempt to inform owner of field of my distress was met with “Not our party, not our responsibility”. I know for a fact that I was NOT the only one, in many parts of Tealby, who was angered and distressed that night. Cutting this short, my plea is for Tealby residents to be kinder and more mindful of others. The world is cruel enough these days without having to contend with incivility at a local level.

I used to spin the toilet paper like I was on Wheel of Fortune; now I turn it like I’m cracking a safe... Happy Easter everyone (and remember : better 6 feet apart than 6 feet under).

Homeschooling is going well. 2 students suspended for fighting and 1 teacher fired for drinking on the job. My child just said : “I hope I don’t have the same teacher next year”... I am offended.

Went to this restaurant called “The Kitchen”. You have to gather all the ingredients and make your own meal. I have no clue how this place is still in business!

Still haven't decided where to go for Easter... the living room or the bedroom.

I’m so excited - it’s time to take out the rubbish bins! What shall I wear?

When I join in the clapping at 8 pm tonight, I want to include my thanks for all the kind volunteers who have offered to help those of us who cannot go shopping.
